Rehearsal for Graduates and Marshals is at 8:00 a.m.

Check in at the Student Center between 7:15-7:30 a.m.

Note: Indoor Ceremony (Tickets will be required).

STEPS REQUIRED TO BE INVITED TO GRADUATION
- A drop-in appointment with a counselor is encouraged to review that you are on track for your degree and/or certificate.
- Complete a "Request for AA/AS Degree or Certificate" form. Download form at: www.laspositascollege.edu/graduation/graduation_prep.php. To request the form in person: go to Admission & Records, Building 700.
- Submit "Request for AA/AS Degree or Certificate form to Admission & Records, Building 700, before Friday, April 16, 2010 for official evaluation of degree and/or certificate completion. Based upon completion of Items 2 & 3, invitations will be mailed to students that have completed their degree and/or certificate requirements by the end of April.

GRADUATION CEREMONY INFORMATION
NOTE: BOOKSTORE WILL NOT BE OPEN TO PURCHASE OR PICK UP CAP AND GOWN ON GRADUATION DAY. PLEASE PURCHASE PRIOR TO FRIDAY, MAY 28.
Time
- GRADUATE CHECK IN: Graduates are to check in at the Student Center (Building 1700) between 7:15-7:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 29. Come dressed in cap & gown!
- Rehearsal starts promptly at 8 a.m.
- Children and guests are not allowed at rehearsal.
- FACULTY MARSHAL CHECK IN: Marshals are to check into the Student Center by 7:30 a.m.
- FACULTY CHECK IN: Faculty are to check into MDB 2411 with Martha Konrad before 9:30 a.m. Ceremonial Line Up begins at 9:45 a.m.
- Ceremony: starts promptly at 10 a.m.
- The doors to the Gym will be open for ticket holders starting at 9:45 a.m. They will be closed at 10:15 a.m.
- Ceremony will be approximately 120 minutes.
Location
- LPC PE Complex - Gymnasium
- All electronic devices (e.g., cell phones, pagers) are to be silenced.
- Prefer that balloons be provided to graduate after ceremony as they obscure the vision of other guests.
- Strollers and baby carriers will not be allowed into the gymnasium. There will be designated parking areas with no attendants.
Invitation to Participate in Graduation Ceremony
All Summer or Fall 2009 graduates and Spring 2010 candidates, who have submitted an AA/AS Degree or Certificate form to the Office of Admission and Records, will be notified by the end of April about graduation. A formal graduation packet will be mailed with a response card. If you have not received a graduation packet by the first week of May, please notify Kit in the Office of the Vice President of Student Services, Building 700, at 925.424.1406 or email Karen Kit.
Tickets
All graduates will be required to return their Graduation RSVP starting May 17 - 21 in front of the Couseling Office (Building 700). Graduates will be required to provide the completed RSVP form and show ID to obtain ticket(s).
- Ticket Pick Up Hours
- Monday through Thursday (May 17 - 20) 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Friday (May 21) 9 a.m. - 12 noon
Guests with graduation tickets will be allowed into the gym starting at 9:45 a.m.
The gym doors will be closed at 10:15 a.m. After this time, guests will be directed to the live feed areas in Rooms 2420 and 2490, while seats last..
Request for AA/AS Degree or Certificate
- Fill out and return the AA/AS Degree or Certificate form to Admission & Records.
- If you are transferring, please double check with a Counselor on required forms that a four-year institution will require (e.g., IGETC, GE Certificate).
- MOVED? If you have moved, please notify Admission & Records in order to update your student record and receive important college information.
