Special Transfer Programs

Programs that bridge Las Positas College students to four-year universities

Cal State East Bay

  1. Get on-line to see CSU EB quarter schedule (Fall, Winter, Spring) to see what classes work with your LPC semester schedule and your future goals. (upper division courses are OK)
  2. Make an appointment (B 700) to see a LPC Counselor to discuss appropriate classes/prerequisites. 
  3. If you make the decision to proceed, complete the CSUEB cross registration form with your CSUEB classes and have the LPC counselor sign.
  4. Take the completed form to A&R to get the Director of Admissions’ signature. (B 700)
    If you are a financial aid student, meet with LPC FA staff to see if this program impacts your aid. (B1500)
  5. Proceed to CSUEB on the first day of class (September 24, 2008) and “sit it” to receive instructor’s signature on the cross-registration form.
  6. When all signatures are obtained bring take the form to CSUEB admission office for the final signature by the staff in that office.
  7. Bring a copy back to LPC admission office after the second week of classes.  The staff will make a copy for the Transfer Counselor.
  8. Complete your classes at both LPC/CSUEB according to regulations/deadlines.
  9. CSUEB transcripts will be sent to LPC two weeks after grades are posted and put on the LPC transcripts.

  1. Make an appointment to see a Counselor to discuss this program. Information is available in Building 900 and 700.
  2. First list of tentative LPC students need to be sent to UCB -August 13, 2008
  3. Fall Semester begins at UCB -August 27, 2008
  4. Final papers with UCB faculty signatures must be turned into the LPC Transfer Center by September 19, 2008

Fall 2009 deadline for this agreement is December 1st and application needs to be filed by January 15. Students need: 23 semester units with a minimum 2.6 GPA by the time they transfer, earn a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA in major courses and complete one high school algebra and one year high school geometry or their equivalents with a grade of "C" or higher prior to enrolling at St. Mary's. ASSIST

As a prospective transfer student, it is important to make sure that the community college courses you take are acceptable to the university for transfer credit. ASSIST is California's official statewide repository of transfer information for the California State University and University of California university systems. ASSIST offers easy access to a single articulation database. ASSIST will help you determine if you will received credit for courses you've already taken, or plan to take and how those courses apply to a specific academic major or general education requirement.
