LAS POSITAS COLLEGE VETERANS FIRST SCHOLARSHIPS
DEADLINE: MARCH 18, 2010 @ 5 PM

TURN IN APPLICATION PACKET AT VETERANS OFFICE, RM 1316

There are a total of FIVE (5) scholarships available for student-veterans enrolled at Las Positas College.  One (1) scholarship of $1000 is available for a student-veteran who is transferring to an accredited 4-year institution. Four (4) $300 scholarships are available for student-veterans who are currently enrolled at and who will be continuing at Las Positas College.

Award: $1,000-$2,000

NEW SERVICE FOR VETERANS AT LAS POSITAS COLLEGE

Collaboration between Las Positas College and the Concord Veterans Center, a Vet Center Readjustment Counselor (Nathan Johnson) will be on campus to counsel Veterans and their families. Some of the services that will be provided are individual and group counseling, marital and family counseling, medical referrals, employment counseling, transition counseling, and many other support services to Veterans and their families in the Tri-Valley area.

Services will be available, every 1st and 3rd Fridays of the month
9 am to 1 pm.
Location: Las Positas Health Center
